Equi-N-icE is a reusable compression cooling bandage that does not need refrigeration or ice to get results. It works by rapid evaporation cooling, and unlike regular ice treatment that drives in the cold, Equi-N-icE works by drawing out the heat whilst also providing support to the area via compression The area will be cooled by up to 10-15 degrees Celcius during the first 20 minutes of application, and then stay cold for up to 2 hours | ![]() Horse at Rest |

Frequently Asked QuestionsIs this safe to use on competition horses?Yes. Horses who have had Equi-N-icE applied have been consistently blood and urine tested whilst using the product under British Jockey Club rules. Can we use Equi-N-icE with any bandage? No you cannot. Our bandage is made from special 100% undyed cotton, which has its own natural elasticity, so compression can be applied during application. Can I safely leave the bandage on for more than two hours?Yes. The bandage will eventually dry out and the bandage can be safely left on for support (if secured) overnight. |

Can I wash the Equi-n-icE bandage?Yes. Wash it as you would any normal cotton bandage, in a warm wash. How do I secure my Equi-N-icE bandage? It is not necessary to do anything but tuck the end of the bandage in when in use, however it may be stitched and taped if being used during work. Can I cover the Equi-N-icE bandage? No, because Equi-N-icE works by rapid evaporation, any covering is counterproductive. A travelling boot can be placed over the bandage after the tendon has effectively been cooled - the bandage will carry on as support. |
